What commissions does an arbitrage bettor pay?

Let us review all the monetary commissions you will have to pay in order.

  1. Your bank commission. Exactly what it will charge a commission for depends on the terms of your contract. This may be a percentage of the payment or a fixed amount. Sometimes a commission is charged for replenishing the account. The cash withdrawal fee must also be taken into account if you are going to withdraw money.
  2. Payment system commission. This is not the same as bank interest. Most of the time, when replenishing bookmaker or scanner accounts, third-party payment systems are used (for example, AnyPay or the well-known PayPal), but they do not operate for free.
  3. Bookmaker commission (margin). The most implicit point, which requires a detailed explanation of the size of a small book to understand it fully. Here we simply note that the bookmaker takes its commission from every bet. Online, this amount is usually in the region of 3 to 10%.
  4. Intermediary commission. If you buy accounts, you want to do so with a guarantee. And you will also have to pay extra for the services of a guarantor or a trusted store. In this case, commissions sometimes reach an unreasonable 20%. But most of the time, the percentage is lower.
  5. Commission when withdrawing money. Many bookmakers do not hesitate to ask you for a certain amount simply because you want to take the money you worked so hard to earn.
  6. Conversion commission. If you bet in dollars and then convert to euros, you will be charged a percentage for converting from one currency to another.

Transfer fees apply in all cases: replenishing and withdrawing money from the bookmaker, paying for scanner services, or purchasing accounts (including from individuals). Again, the presence and size of a commission depend on the terms of your service with the bank and the use of additional services.
