How can one ensure safe operation with arbitrage situations?

The answer to this question should be divided into two parts: how to protect yourself from your own mistakes and how to protect yourself from opposition from bookmakers.

To minimize errors, you need to:

  1. Open accounts only with well-established bookmakers.
  2. Before working with any bookmaker, carefully read the conditions for accepting, calculating and refunding bets. Special attention should be paid to the sections of the rules concerning overtime. You must place surebets between bookmakers with identical conditions.
  3. Start working with surebets using small amounts to gain experience.
  4. Do not rush, and before placing the legs of surebets, make sure that the bets and odds on the bookmaker's websites are up to date (if you work with one of the surebet scanners).
  5. Do not bet in the last minute of the match. At this point, many bookmakers stop accepting bets, and you may not have time to place all the legs of the surebet.

To avoid being placed on the "blacklists of bettors" maintained by bookmakers, we recommend:

  1. Do not place round-number bets. Betting $ 30 is good; $ 32.42 is bad.
  2. Do not place repeated bets on the same event. Even if you really want to and the interest is very attractive.
  3. Do not put your entire bankroll on one bet. Ordinary bettors do not do this.

Do not place surebets with a yield above 10%. It is very likely that we are dealing with an error (accidental or intentional, with the aim of trapping bettors) in the line. In this case, the bet will be cancelled—calculated at odds of 1,00.
